Discovering Antiques by Kate Bliss

Kate Bliss is an antiques expert from the United Kingdom who has appeared on the BBC's Bargain Hunt, Flog It! and Secret Dealers, and has presented Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is. Bliss specialises in jewellery and silver, and is a fellow of the Great Britain Gemmological Association.

‘Under Fire: Ceramics and Warfare’

Lars Tharp is a ceramics historian and broadcaster, long associated with Antiques Roadshow. 
He gives lectures throughout the world and guides tours to places of ceramic and other interest. 
Formerly Director of London=s Foundling Museum, Lars is also a Hogarth "nut".

‘From Widnes to Westminster: the Story of Jack Ashley’

Jack Ashley, Baron Ashley of Stoke and MP for Stoke South from 1966 to 1992, was the world’s first deaf MP and a remarkable man who lived a remarkable life. His daughters will give an illustrated talk about their father entitled: ‘From Widnes to Westminster: the Story of Jack Ashley’. Bar and refreshments from 6.30pm. Entry is free but by ticket only, available from Joe Andrew.
